As chief instructor and founder of the Dartford Shotokan Karate Centre, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to our award winning website.

At Dartford SKC we take a modern approach to training that is both progressive and varied whilst maintaining many of Karate’s traditional principles.

You will discover that during an era where many clubs and associations are sacrificing the functionality of Karate for simple aesthetic appearance, at Dartford SKC we impart Shotokan Karate that is spirited and strong, but most importantly effective in its application. 

Established since 1996, a combination of our expert tuition and coaching alongside the influences and principles of the late Enoeda Sensei, has seen our dojo gain a reputation for setting the highest standards in all areas of the ‘way of the empty hand’. The training is hard and taken seriously, but we always maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where students are encouraged to ask questions and express their own ideas.

New members are important to us and are always made to feel welcome and at ease. Each week there are eight combined classes especially targeted towards beginner, intermediate, and advanced Black and Brown Belt students. No matter what your age, level of fitness or standard of Karate, at Dartford SKC there will be a class that will benefit you as an individual. Our students currently range from total beginners to national champions and England internationals.

Any questions that you may have with regards beginning Karate or continuing your training at our dojo will hopefully be answered throughout the contents of this site. However, if there is anything you cannot find or any queries that you may have, then please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
